I came across this site on the aforementioned 'All My Faves' website. This site not only helps you list your goals, it also shows you people who are working towards completing the same goal and allows everyone to share their progress with one another. For example, I mentioned in a previous post that I would love learn how to play a guitar. On www.43Things.com, there are 11,684 people who currently have the same goal. Once you've
picked a goal (and you can pick more than one), the site takes you to the goal page where you can see other people who have completed the goal and hear their stories. They have posted how they achieved the goal, lessons & tips, as well as resources they found helpful. On the right hand side, the site tells you the average time frame for completing the goal (ex: learning to play a guitar averages 2 years). Definitely try this site out, even if it's just for a support group. Seeing others achieve similar goals and reading their stories can not only motivate you, but also help you see if you're goals are realistic and worth the effort.

The site was created by 7 friends, known for their lists, who refer to themselves as robots (see their group blog here). They came up with the concept in 2003 and by 2005 they not only launched 43 Things, but also 43 Places and 43 People (in that order). And if that's not enough, they also created "Should Do This", a site where you freely submit ideas of things people should do (ex: Someone should --- make a 4-day work week the standard).
